I know, that's what I always explain to people when I'm talking about Christmas trees. Over here loads of people wait until one, maybe two weekends before Christmas to put up the tree.
And a lot complain that there is Christmas stuff up from Halloween onwards.
So I explain that having Thanksgiving means that you have a nice marker and you don't have any Christmas stuff until after that, and then it's whole hog.
And it's also why we now have a fake tree after trying a couple of years with a real one (I was enjoying the novelty of it) - they just don't last long enough!
I love Christmas.
