Daily Ada: 18 May 13

Now that we're working on no morning nap, we have more time to do things,  but we also have more time to fill. The other thing at the moment is that since it's still transition-time napwise, we can't stay too far from home because we don't want Ada to fall asleep in the car before the new nap time.

That's why Clevedon is nice - somewhere to go,  but not a long drive. Also the rocky beach is perfect since Ada is beginning to learn how to throw.

Ada is so colorful! She looks neat in those pictures of blues/grays. :)

Yes, it is nice having more time to be out and about together!

Danielle is close to giving up her nap altogether. She tells us every night "I'm just not tired" and after she FINALLY falls asleep, she still wakes up at 6am! Trouble is, that at daycare/on their schedule, she's gotta keep napping for about 2 more years!

Christopher is also close to dropping his daily nap. He sort of needs a half nap, so he can get through, but not tank his bedtime.

I think at his school now, they might send him to the 3-year-old class if he doesn't nap. Next year, at Episcopal Day, he also doesn't have to nap. (He's still in the 2's class because of his late birthday.)

Also, John and Christopher would be SOOOO jealous of all those rocks to throw into the ocean. They would work on it every day, and make a good stab at keeping up with the tides throwing them back... I was just thinking of taking them back to the lake this weekend. It's such a nice outing.

We'll have to see if Marty and Jenny need any piles of rocks moved on the farm...

The transition is not going all that smoothly and I'm wondering if we're trying to force it too early. I guess it's a bit easier at daycare because she has the peer pressure of trying to stay awake to play with her friends, while at home she's just super super sensitive.
