A craft project: Ada's stocking.

I decided to make a stocking for Ada this year, partly to try out my lovely new sewing machine, which was a birthday present.

Since I'm a procrastinator, I only started this week. Fortunately, it turned out to be not too hard. Will add her name at some point - possibly even in time for this Christmas!

Very nice!
When is Santa visiting you? He's going to hang out stockings in the car since we're planning on driving on the 25th.

Santa is coming this Friday because it is fake Christmas with the Vallentines and that saves the issue of having to open stockings on the way to the airport on Christmas day.

I'll try to find the link to the pattern I used - I adapted the cuff part of it but basically followed the rest. I just wish I had done what they did and have a few more fabrics - mine repeat a bit too much I think.

And I cut some of the squares on Thursday, I think, but otherwise it was all done this weekend. Mark and Ada went out a couple of times so I had a few uninterrupted hours over the weekend and managed to get it done. I thought it was going to take a lot longer. Well, let's see, I watched Miracle on 34th Street, White Christmas and the first part of It's a Wonderful Life while doing it, so I guess that's 4-5 hours! :)
